Contestants are invited to enter stitched pieces no smaller than 6” x 6” and no larger than 12” x12”.

Your pieces may use any combination of stitches and be from a pre designed chart or one that you design yourself. It may have embellishments beads etc or be plain.

You may enter as many times as you wish and entries are invited from all members of A Crafty Natter.

The piece should be a flat piece of needlework i.e. not framed or finished in any way i.e. bell pull.

Please email stitchfactor@btinternet.com to register your interest.

Deadline for registration March 31st 2008.

Deadline for submission of entries 1st September 2008.

Simple photographs of entries should be emailed to stitchfact@btinternet.com and and arrive no later than 1st September 2008.

Photographs of all entries will be put on a Gallery on A Crafty Natter from September 20th, 2008.

Voting will be anonymous therefore all entries must not be identifiable i.e. initials etc. Please do not share your work in progress on the forum, your blog or at meet ups.

October 1st voting opens

Entries will be randomly allocated to groups by the Stitch Factor Coordinator.

Each group will contain up to five entries (may be less depending on number of entries). Each week members of the forum can vote for entries in a group. The entries with the lowest number of votes will be knocked out.

At the end of rounds the semi final group will contain four entries. The two with the lowest number of votes will be knocked out.

The final will be between two entries.

If you want to enter there's a link to A Crafty Natter in the side bar - I look forward to hearing from you and Good Luck.

Who will decide?

The winner of Stitch Factor 08 will be decided by the members of a Craft Natter.

There will be a series of rounds, and members will be asked to vote for the one they like the best in each round (without knowing who has stitched it). Eventually there will be a final few and the votes will be for the winner.

So if you're thinking you might not enter because you think your stitching isn't as good as some other peoples - don't worry. I think this way everybody has a chance from the newest and fastest to the most experienced and slowest.

Go on - just think of the fun you will have.

How exciting

I've just posted the first bits of information on A Crafty Natter.

I thought I'd create a new profile - Stitch Factor 08 on Ezboard - it will be easier to remember what I'm doing then.

It's so exciting - I just hope that everybody else enjoys the fun - now if I could just work out how to put a link to this blog on my ezboard signature I'll be away.

Looks like it's all started - it's been ages since I had the idea and I can't believe it's nearly February 1st..............just wish I could enter.

Happy Stitching
